Homogeneous and heterogeneous recycling - In homogeneous mode, the minor actinides are diluted to a few % in the fuel; in heterogeneous mode, they are contained in the target pins or loaded blankets (CCAM concept), in which the maximum minor actinide content will be 20%).

Depleted uranium - Depleted uranium results from enrichment of natural uranium.

 Ure - Re-enriched uranium; designates reprocessed uranium (URT) that is re-enriched in order to be used again in the fuel cycle.

 Vestale - CEA research programme on vitrification processes for fission products and actinides, and the study of the properties of the vitrified residue.

 Zira - Zone of interest for further surveying, or Zira, is the name given by Andra to the restricted zone of interest stipulated in the law.
